SS : 6 Months Till A Kiss Part 3

Arnav tried calling Khushi again as he got into his car...

But he froze when he heard faint ringing...

He looked up ...his eyes searching around him...

"Khushi?" he said to himself...he called her phone again...

There it was...the ringing...he slammed his car door and looked ahead...

The crowded streets were camouflaging any hope of seeing her...

He started to push through the crowds...

The ringing got louder as he sped down the sidewalk...

Finally he saw her...

"KHUSHI!!!!!!!"

She turned on hearing her name...as soon as she saw him her eyes filled with panic...she turned on her heel and ran...

"KHUSHI!!!!!! STOP!!!!"

Arnav finally caught up with her and spun her around...

She tried to fight him but his strength overpowered her...

"WHAT!? What do you want from me now!? i'm not your wife anymore! I have left for good! Now leave me alone!!!"

Arnav was livid..."Where are you going?!"

"It's none of your business!!!"

He gripped her firmly..."i said...where. Are. You. Going.?"

Khushi's eyes filled with tears..."I DON"T KNOW! I have NOWHERE to go! I can't go back to my family...they will never accept me after this...i can't go back to your house...i can't live on the street... So I DON'T KNOW where i was going...I hate you!!!"

Guilt and pain engulfed Arnav's entire body...

Guilt for what he'd done...

And pain for hearing her say that she hated him...

He wanted to tell her once before that he loved her...only to have that damn misunderstanding take place...

And the day he found out about her innocence, he still didn't let up on hurting her...even then he still didn't tell her he was in love with her...and now, when his heart desperately wanted to tell her...he saw honest hatred in her eyes...

He knew she wouldn't come back for him...but maybe she would still come back for her family...

"come back with me..." Arnav heard himself say...

Her eyes grew wide..."Never. I want nothing more to do with you!"

He tried to keep calm...He needed her to come back...for himself...

He played the only card he had left..."Khushi...my Di was so happy today...and she's due any day now...Shyam is still hovering around...and i don't want him causing more trouble...i will keep him away from both you and Di...but please, don't put added stress on them now when they need peace..."

"I won't live with you! We aren't married anymore and i refuse to..."

"We ARE still married..."

Khushi was stunned into silence...she searched his eyes....

Arnav could see her mind processing what he said...He so wanted to just pull her against him and hold her...

"why?" Khushi asked breathily...

"because i never annulled it......"

"why?"

"because...because i...please just come back...you won't sleep outside...i won't threaten you or your sister...and i won't let anyone hurt you..."  today he was ready to do anything to get Khushi back...

Khushi started to look worried..."I...I don't...don't want to....but...Jiji...i can't let you throw her out..."

Arnav looked up at her with a baffled expression..."no...Khushi...i'm not threatening Payal ...i just want you to come back because I..."

Khushi pulled herself free..."Fine. But i will not accept you as my husband...i will act like a happy wife around others..."

Arnav heard his own words coming from her lips...but right now...all he wanted was to get her back..."Fine. Please come..."

They drove back in silence...Khushi just looked out her window...and Arnav was the one chancing glances at her...
